Q: Are the curved tubes hollow? Can they be used on memory wire?
A: Yes they are. You could certainly fit memory wire through them, but it would depend on how curved your memory wire is as to whether or not it would look right, for example the MWS31 bracelets are more curved than the tubes, so you'd need to bend them to a more appropriate shape.

Q: Is this what the Americans call ' French Wire' which is used in pearl threading to protect the silk thread in attaching the clasp? i.e. can the silver plated tubing bend sufficiently to attch a clasp?
A: No I think French wire is also known as gimp and that's a lot thinner than our curved tubes. It's really flexible and you cut as much as you want off a reel. The curved tubes essentially do the same job but they are larger in diameter and thicker.
