Q: can you get silver and gold in fimo??
A: There are the metallic colours 11 and 81 which look pretty good when they are baked, you can also paint Fimo.

Q: Can you use this in a fish tank once oven baked? Is it safe for aquatic use?
A: I'm afraid I really haven't found a definitive answer to this and I wouldn't want to say yes in case it caused harm to your fish but you might like to contact Staedtler directly yourself at service@staedtler.de

Q: does nightglow fimo glow in the dark?
A: Yes it does, I can speak from experience having spent many happy hours making things from glow in the dark Fimo.

Q: Hi once baked can you then paint the clear with gel paints etc
A: Yes you can paint fimo once it's been baked and hardened in the oven. I would recommend acrylic paint and Fimo varnish which will also protect your finished piece. You can get some good results on Google by searching for Fimo varnish.

Q: Hiya I was wondering how many beads can you make from one packet og 56g fimo? Many thanks.
A: It really depends on the size and shape of the beads you wish to make. I have measured the block and it is 55mm by 55mm with a depth of 15mm, this might help you visualise how many beads can be made.

Q: How do I order the 10 custom packs of Fimo as there is nothing I can see how to order these, I placed the 10 I wanted in my basket but it just says it may be cheaper to purchase the custom pack?

Q: I love the jewellery around at the moment that has replica sweets and cakes! Id love to try making my own, would fimo be suitable? And can i buy the pieces to attatch my creations too ie.rings, earrings??
A: Yes Fimo is ideal for making your creations. We sell a comprehensive range of findings, www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/jewellery-findings/c396 that you can use to assemble your Fimo pieces. You can either make a hole in your piece before baking so you can thread a headpin through or I would recommend using our epoxy glue to attach your piece to rings, flat earring stud etc, www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/home/search.php?searchfor=epoxy.

Q: I make small teddies to hang from my teddy shaped clocks, they measure 4x3cms and are about 1 cm thick, how many would I get out of one pack of fimo approxiamely? I use to make them in clay but my kiln doesn't work anymore so I am looking for replacement clay
A: Each pack of Fimo is about 5.5cm square and 1.5cm thick, so you'd get at least 1 out of each pack, maybe 2 at a push. Fimo is a really easy clay to use, it comes in loads of bright colours and you can bake it in your kitchen oven so there's no need for special equipment.

Q: Is it easy to use? I've stumbled across this and would like to try it.
A: Fimo is easy to use, you simply mould it into your required shape and then harden it in the oven following the baking instructions. You can also buy tools and moulds to help you create specific shapes and designs.

A: Fimo is a versatile modelling clay that you can bake in the oven at home. It's fun for kids. You can make all sorts of little sculptures or even your own beads to use as a part of your jewellery creations.

Q: what is fimo? what do you use it for?
A: Fimo is a brand of polymer clay made by Staedtler. It can be sculpted in ways similar to ceramic and modelling clay. Fimo can be formed into any shapes including beads or charms, with the holes poked before baking or drilled in afterward. The creations can have glass beads and wire added to provide more details. Colours can be mixed while soft, then baked. By mixing two or more colors, then twisting and folding you can create a marbled effect. The possibilites are endless!
