Frequently asked questions about the product: Hat pin large

Q: Do you sell caps for the hat pins?
A: We sell hat pin protectors here - www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Hat-pin-protector/bo818

Q: do you sell hat pins with protectors in sterling silver?
A: I'm sorry we don't, we have a much smaller range of sterling silver than silver plated findings and nothing for hat pins I'm afraid.

Q: hi, how long is the pin? whats the shortest size you do for this type of pin? what metal is this pin?
A: This pin is 150mm long, we have a shorter one that's 75mm at: www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Hat-pin-small/bo817 These pins are made from brass plated with silver or gold.

Q: Hi, I know this must be a silly question but I want to check that these are actual pins, what I mean is do they have a sharp point on one end?
A: It's not a silly question, they do have a sharp point, which should go through most fabric, the point is so sharp that you might need a protector on the end www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Hat-pin-protector/bo818 to avoid being scratched.

Q: How wide are they in mm? I need to know what size the bead hole should be to fit...
A: The hat pins are just under 1mm thick, so you should be able to slip on beads that have a 1mm hole or bigger. The pin head is 1.5mm wide, so if the holes in the bottom bead that you put on is any wider it will slip off.

Q: I bought some hat pins before and found them unsuitable as they bent very easily, how sturdy are these ones?
A: They are just under 1mm thick. They are quite flexible and will bend if put under too much strain. I would recommend perhaps purchasing one at retail price to try first.
