Q: are head pins all the same thickness
A: All of ours are the same thickness 0.7mm but you may find that others vary in thickness and flexibility.

Q: Do head pins come with different size heads/
A: You can get various different sized headpins, ones with large pin heads, ones with decorated pin heads. We only sell the plain or ball type for now but we are looking into expanding the range.

Q: do you do antique black metal Triggerclasp,@Head pins, jump rings.?
A: Yes, we do stock trigger clasps, headpins and jump rings in black antique finish. You can find them along with all our other findings in www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/menu/findings/8

Q: Do you have any head pins or eyepins at shorter lengths? Are they all 2 inches long?
A: All our eyepins are 2 inches long (except for our sterling silver ones www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Sterling-Silver/c448) but you can cut them easily with pliers. For ideas and tips on how to use headpins and eyepins check out our videos at www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/home/videos.php

Q: Do you sell extra long headpins?
A: We only currently stock the standard 2 inch headpins.

Q: how can i stop my loop forming a "P" shape rather than a round.
A: The best way to make a round loop in your headpin is once you've trimmed it bend it at a right angle as close as you can to the bead. Next grip the end of the headpin with the middle of your pliers and curl around until you've formed half the loop. Now release the grip and reposition your pliers gripping the bend of the loop and keep turning until the ends meet to form your loop. With an eyepin I would suggest if it goes a little out of shape when you open it grip the loop and bend it slightly in the other direct from where the loop joins.

Q: I have just received some eyepins from you, code EPSP, and on the pack there is a label stating they are low nickel. Are these EU compliant with regards to nickel and lead content?
A: Yes all our findings are ordered in low nickel and lead free to comply with the EU regulations. To be described as low nickel products intended to come into direct & prolonged contact with the skin must not release nickel at a rate exceeding 0.5 micro grams to per square centimetre per week for a period of at least two years of normal use. To be described as nickel free they must not release nickel at a rate exceeding 0.1 micro grams to per square centimetre per week for a period of at least two years of normal use.

Q: please could you tell me which metal eyepin with silver plating are strongest,is it copper,iron,brass,aluminium????...for making a pearl necklace and bracelets...thank you
A: All our eyepins are brass as are most of our findings. We find this to be strong whilst not too hard to bend and cut into shape, e.g making loops at the end of the eyepins when joining them together.

Q: What metal are the black antique findings made from?
A: These particular headpins and eyepins are made from a brass base (base metals across the findings vary) with silver plate on top, the 'antique black finish' is just a colouring put on the silver plate, a kind of patina.
