Q: have you stopped doing the medium hemp twine as that's the one i use
A: Yes, I'm afraid the supplier kept on sending us hemp that didn't really have much difference in thickness, we used to have thin, medium and thick and there was supposed to be a 0.5mm difference between each of these sizes. What we kept on getting was medium that was indistinguishable from the thick, so we decided to just keep the thin and thick.

Q: I am weaving 1;12 gauge baskets and I am not sure whether to buy 1mm or 0,5 mm hemp, would you please advise?
A: I'd never come across miniature basket weaving before! Our thin hemp is quite fine and around 0.8mm so I think this would be suitable as it's in-between thicknesses.

Q: So is the thin 0.5mm?
A: The hemp is a natural product and can vary in thickness as it is slightly uneven with a variance of about 0.2mm. I have checked our current batch and it measures between 0.7-0.9mm thick.
