Frequently asked questions about the product: Lacemakers wire 0.2mm
Q: Any chance of getting this in a copper colour?
A: If lots of people would like a copper colour then we'll probably be able to find some. I'll need quite a few enquiries to prove the potential popularity so if anyone else would like some please let me know!
Q: Hi, is this wire suitable for tiara making?
A: Yes it is suitable for fine weaving around the base and adding beads. If you want to add any body or structure to the tiara you'll need a thicker wire, something like 0.6mm silver wire www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Silver-plated-wire/bo4196
Q: How is this wire used in lace making?
A: It's a good question! To be honest I don't know. As far as I can see there isn't really a specific step in lace making where you need this wire. It is thin and flexible and you can use it instead of thread to weave, producing a kind of metal wire lace. I'm not at all sure why this wire is called 'lacemaker's wire' but I'll ask our friends at Winslow bobbins if they know.
Q: I just wondered, could this wire be used instead of the brass wire to create the christmas angel and santa brooches?
A: Sure, it doesn't really matter which colour you use, it's exactly the same product.
