Frequently asked questions about the product: Leather crimp round small

Q: Hello I have leather cord of 3ml thinkness. Would these be appropriate or is there anything else I can use?
A: It will be a tight squeeze but I've tested these crimps with 3mm cord and it should fit inside. Just slip the cord into the crimp and then squeeze the bottom rung of the crimp to hold the cord in place. This should work well as the round crimps actually work better the tighter the cord sits inside.

Q: Hi how do you use these please? I bought them to use with faux suede.
A: To use these round crimps you place the end of your cord doubling it if necessary to insure a tight fit into the spiral. With a pair of pliers grip the very last coil and squeeze gently but firmly until the spiral grips the cord.

Q: Hi, I use 1mm leather and wondered if I should use these crimps or the tiny ones? Also, I tend to use antique black on my necklace ends as most of my beads are black. Is nickel coloured similar or is that too silver? Thanks.
A: You could use either. The tiny ones would probably look nicer on 1mm leather (proportionally speaking). The nickel colour is quite a bit lighter than the black antique finish, it's most similar to silver but without the shine. If you're looking for a black antique solution how about the flat leather crimps www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Leather-crimp-flat/bo4037 you fold the flaps over the leather boxing it in.
