Q: Can you use crimps with this thread
A: I wouldn't recommend using crimps on this silk thread as the crimps when squashed might damage and cut into the cord and they will abraded it overtime. Crimps are best used with plastic coated wire www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/beading-wire/c434.

Q: Hi is there anyway that you can reuse the pre-attached needle if you have silk left over on a reel? Or can you suggest a way to thread the silk through small beads without the attached needle provided? Thanks
A: I don't think the needle can be reused as it is threaded onto the silk thread. I think the best option would probably be our twisted needles which you can see here: www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Twisted-steel-needle-size-10/bo1037?sid=3189#item3189 even though these needles are very thin the eye is large enough for the thin silk thread to go through and posibly the medium, you may wish to use a needle threader. These needles are springy so the eye will squash though a bead hole then spring back to shape, as will the needle itself.

Q: I want to make a knitted beaded bag and the instructions require silk thread size E and F. What is this? (book is American)
A: The E and F refer to the American sizing for Silk cord we label ours in millimeters. The E is 0.348mm and F is 0.325mm.
