Frequently asked questions about the collection: decorated glass beads

Q: How can I tell how large the hole is on these beads?
A: Well, the holes vary in dimension as all the Indian glass is hand made, the holes are mostly from 0.5mm to 0.8mm wide, so quite tiny really.

Q: How do you look after these kind of beads. What do you have to be careful not to damage them when handling or wearing them. I am asking because when I received my order of two packs of black venetian beads I found that one of the beads was already damaged.
A: I'm really sorry that we sent you a damaged bead. These beads are all hand made for us in India and can sometimes get knocked around in transit (I think they go on a bullock cart, a ship and in a van so there's a lot of bumps). They aren't normally that fragile in wear and you shouldn't have to take too much care over them. Q: Saw some beads when I visited the shop can't find them online. I know I should have bought them!! they were clear round with crumpled paper inside (black and white print). Can you help me find them.
A: Could this be the plastic newsprint beads? www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Newsprint-round/bo5262#item7800 They're newspaper encased in plastic resin and they've been really popular.

Q: Will the beads fit onto the pandora bracelet?
A: Even the largest of these beads only have 2mm wide holes. You will really need either pandora style beads: www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/glass-beads-Chinese-Far-East/c37 or you can fit some brass spacers on too: www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Brass-5x6mm-barrel/bo2482
