Returns And Legal Stuff For UK & EU Customers

We are members of Brighton & Hove Trading Standards’ Shop With Confidence scheme & have had this bit vetted by them.

Business to business transactions - The Sale of Goods Act states that you have the right to return goods if they are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for the purpose intended or are not as described.

To be a business you do not have to have a shop front, headed notepaper or pay tax but merely purchase our products for profit or gain. Therefore if you are selling our goods even in a very small way and even if you are giving the proceeds to any kind of charity or fund raising you are covered only by The Sale of Goods Act.

Goods for your own use - In addition to the Sale of Goods Act retail customers are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations. This allows you to return your goods or inform us by letter, fax or e-mail of your intention to cancel your order within a period of seven days of receipt. You are then entitled to a full refund including postal charges.

Please note returned items must be in perfect unused (ie normally unopened) condition. You are also liable for return postal charges except for items sent as substitutes.

Please be aware replacements or refunds over and above our statutory obligations are at our own discretion. We reserve the right to charge a handling fee on discretionary returns.

Replacement goods - Any items accepted for return will be credited and replaced goods will be considered a new order. Sorry but we do have to charge postage (it would otherwise cost us a four figure sum every year!)

Imports Taxes And Duties

Please note that all import taxes and duties are the responsibility of the purchaser. We will not falsify records or split orders into numerous packages in order to minimise your liability for duty or other payments.

Title To Goods

All goods supplied by the Beads Unlimited / Brighton Bead Shop remain our property until all outstanding payments are made in full.
