Q: are the different size round nose pliers to change the size of the loop on wire
A: The actual prongs of our round nosed pliers are all fairly similar in length, they're tapered though so the size of the loop is determined by which part of the prong the wire is wrapped around.

Q: Could you please tell me the difference between multi pliers, and craft multi pliers?
A: The craft multi pliers are not as high quality as the multi pliers, the steel they are made from is a lower grade so they will not stay as sharp or usable for as long, they are fine if you're just starting out in this as a hobby and you'll only be using them occasionally, for regular and sustained use I'd recommend the more expensive multi pliers which are part of our 'professional' range.

Q: Do you sell a set of round nose half round and cutters for a beginer and do you post first class royal mail?

Yes we send our orders by 1st class post unless they are heavier than 1.6kg or have a value of over £80 then we will send it on a Parcelforce 48hour service.

Q: Hi do you still do a pack of 3 pliers? 1 round nose, 1 flat nose and 1 wire cutter? I need 7 packs for a class I am going to teach.

Q: Hi I have a 3 in 1 tool but found that it's not too good cutting the wire from the heart earring project I bought here recently. Can you please advise me which wire cutters would be best to finish off my project?
A: The 3 in 1 pliers aren't always the best for cutting, they can cope with a headpin but not much else. I'd recommend our craft memory wire cutters www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Craft-cutters/bo2023 these are brilliant and can chomp through anything at a fraction of the cost of 'professional' memory wire cutters.

Q: Hi, can you please tell me the best pliers for turning the end of memory wire over? I am not looking to use end cap beads as I want to attach a charm. many thanks.

Q: how can I twist the wire, evenly, completely when I want to hold a charm, a bead, etc.?
A: If you want to twist wire evenly it's always best to use two pairs of pliers, one to hold the wire and another to twist around this. If you're re-shaping wire, like opening and closing a jump ring for instance it's always better to twist apart sideways than pull apart, as pulling changes the whole shape of the ring.

Q: I am looking to buy a pair of half round pliers - do you have such a thing please? Many thanks.

Q: I attended a class recently and we learnt to make 3 stranded bracelets on elastic. The tutor had a tool that I can't find anywhere. Not sure how to best describe it but basically it's a thick metallic spring whose ends have been bent so it looks like it has 'butterfly wings' which are used to open the spring & insert the elastic threads to hold them whilst threading beads. Any idea where I can get one of those from? Thanks, Catherine
A: They are called bead stoppers and unfortunately we don't sell them but they can be found across the web, if you Google 'bead stopper' you'll be inundated with results.

Q: I have a steel hat pin that I would like to bend around the nape of a small vase or alternatively cut them down and put a cover/protector on the end of them. Would any of these tools/pliers help me to do this?
A: The Flat half round pliers have a flat inside edge so these would be useful for getting a firm grip and the Round nose pliers are really useful if you want to grip and bend with more position www.beadsunlimited.co.uk/Craft-pliers/bo1055. Q: Sometimes I want to make the holes in beads slightly bigger or smooth them out a little, especially when using wooden beads. Do I need to use a reamer, do you sell them or can you suggest another way to do this?
A: Yes I would recommend using a beading reamer. This would help you enlarge the holes and give them a smoother finish. There are hand held reamers but I find the battery operated ones are very easy to use, unfortunately we don't currently stock these but you can get some goods results by searching on google.
