Crimping special

Materials
- 1m x 7 strand Beadalon wire black (BDW0701)
- 2 x 8 crimps silver plated (CRSP)
- 5 x 8mm glass square flattie silver (GLRK3)
- 1 x 25 5mm jump rings silver plated (JR5SP)
- 1 x trigger clasp silver plated (TRGSP)
- 1 x 12 eyepins silver plated (EPSP)
- 1 x 25 2.4mm spacer bead silver plated (MTEA2431)
- 1 x 8 5mm spacer bead silver plated (MTEA5031)
- You will also need a pair of craft multi pliers (CRMT)
- You will also need a pair of professional crimping pliers (PRCR1)
- 1 x project sheet (MJ1009P)
Stage 1
With the cutting part of the multi pliers cut the wire in half. Place the wire together and thread the ends through a crimp, move it to approximately 15cm from the end. Squeeze the crimp closed using the hole closest to the pliers handle. This will give your crimp a fold in the middle.Stage 2
Flatten the crimp with the hole closest to the pliers tip for a neat finish.Stage 3
Onto both strands of wire thread a 2.4mm spacer bead on the longer side, followed by a square bead and another 2.4mm spacer bead. Add a crimp and squeeze in the same way. Add another crimp 5.5cm from the first beaded section. Squeeze in the same way. Thread a 2.4mm spacer bead, a 5mm spacer bead, a square bead, a 5mm spacer bead and another 2.4mm spacer bead add a crimp and squeeze.Stage 4
Onto an eyepin thread a 2.4mm spacer bead, a 5mm spacer bead, a square bead, a 5mm spacer bead andanother 2.4mm spacer bead. Trim the eyepin 1cm above the bead. Bend into a loop and close. Thread the wire through one end of the eyepin, around through the other end and back through the first to create a loop.
Stage 5
Thread on a crimp and squeeze in the same way to create a loop of wire around the eyepin. Thread on a 2.4mm spacer bead, a 5mm spacer bead, a square bead, a 5mm spacer bead and another 2.4mm spacer beadfollowed by a crimp. Thread on another crimp and squeeze 4.5cm from the previous crimp. Thread on a 2.4mm
spacer bead to the longer side of the wire, a square bead and another 2.4mm spacer bead. Add a crimp and
squeeze in the same way.
Stage 6
Trim the longer lengths to 15cm from the beaded section. To add the clasp thread on a crimp thread the wires through a 5mm jump ring and back through the crimp squeeze in the same way. Repeat for the other end. With the round nosed part of the pliers open one of the jump rings, attach the trigger clasp and close.Stage 7
