Stage 1
Cut three 15cm lengths of leather. Place the ends into a crimp, using the flat part of your multi pliers squeeze the last loop of the crimp to hold the leather in place. Plait the leather and add a crimp to the end in the same way. Make another plaited 15cm length and repeat to make a longer plaited length using three 25cm pieces of leather.Stage 2
With your multi pliers open a 7mm jump ring attach the crimp on the longest plait and one of the shorter plaits and close the jump ring. Join the shorter length to the other end of the long plait. Attach the toggle clasp to one end and the bar at the other with a jump ring.Stage 3
Cut 50cm of leather and 5cm of wire. Hold the end of the leather in one hand and loop around making a circle of approximately 4.5cm in diameter until the other end of the leather overlaps. Wrap the wire tightly around the leather to cover the ends. Cut 22cm of leather and 5cm of wire and repeat to make a circle of approximately 2.5cm. Make three more. Cut 30cm of leather and repeat to make two 3.5cm circles.Stage 4
Cut 3cm of wire. Attach the largest loop to the centre of the plaited leather and the next largest either side of the central loop. Join one of the 2.5cm loops to the outside on one of the 3.5cm loops. Repeat for the other 3.5cm loop. Attach the final two loops to the plait and the side of the 2.5cm loops. Join loops together with short lengths of wire wrapping.Stage 5
Cut 10cm of wire thread on a russet wooden bead. Using the round nosed part of the multi pliers make a loop in the wire either side of the bead to keep the bead central. Join to the largest loop at the top and bottom and wrap the wire neatly to keep in place. Make two more using 8cm of wire and without the loops. Attach to the second leather loop from the edge on each side.Stage 6
Cut 12cm of wire. Make a loop at the end of the wire, thread on a 6mm bone bead, a lantern bead a 38mm bead followed by a 4mm bead. Bend the wire into a loop, thread through the loop of leather and wrap back around the wire to keep in place. Repeat making two with the longer tubes with lanterns for either side of the centre and two with the shorter tubes without lanterns for the outside beaded loops.Stage 7
This is what your finished necklace should look like.
