Large heart
Cut approximately 30cm of 1mm wire. Using round nosed pliers, mould into a heart shape. Curl each end outwards into a tight spiral. To join the heart, cut a few centimetres of 0.4mm wire and wind around the two ends of the heart, just above the curls. Smaller hearts – make 4 smaller hearts in the same way. Use about 20cm of wire for 2 of them, about 16cm for 1 and 14cm for the smallest.
Spirals
Cut approximately 15cm of 1.0mm wire. Using your round nosed pliers, make a small loop at one end and thread on an 8mm clear moon bead. Directly under the bead, bend the wire at a right angle. Grip the wire, close to the bead, with round nosed pliers and wind into one tight spiral around the pliers tip. Sway your round nosed pliers for the flat nosed pair and use them to grip the spiral. Using your free hand wind the wire round until you have about 5 more spiral loops. Leave 5cm of wire at the end. Make 3 more spirals in the same way.Decorating the smallest and 1 medium heart
Cut about 100cm of 0.4mm wire. Begin by winding your wire around a heart. Keep the coils close together and neat. Every so often, pick up a 4mm moon bead, dagger bead or heart and continue wrapping until the whole heart is covered. You may need to cut more wire as you go. Simply begin wrapping the new piece of wire where the first piece finishes.Decorating and assembling the large heart
The large heart is decorated in the same way but you need to add 2 spirals. With the spiral pointing upwards, place the flat end of your spiral against one side of the heart and continue to wrap your wire but around both the spiral end and the heart. About half way up the long end, when it feels fixed in place, continue wrapping along the heart only again. Carry on round the heart to the opposite side. Add a second spiral but this time have the spiral pointing downwards. Join your smallest heart to both spirals using a few centimetres of 0.4mm wire.Decorating the 2 remaining hearts – Decorate in the same way and add 1 spiral to each of them.
Assembling the tiara
You can arrange your hearts in any way you like and bend them to fit. However, it is easiest to attach the largest one first. Cut about 10cm of 0.4mm wire and wrap it around the tiara base and the heart to secure. Join the remaining hearts in the same way, attaching them to the large heart and the base. Finally, decorate the tiara base in the same way as you did the hearts. Cut 100cm of wire and, beginning at one end, wrap your wire neatly along adding beads as you go. When you reach where the hearts are joined wrap around these too for extra security and neatness. Use your flat nosed pliers to flatten out any sharp pieces of wire.
Bridesmaid bag charm
Follow step 1 to make 2 more hearts but use only 10cm of 1.0mm wire for each one. Follow step 3 to decorate as before. Open up a jump ring and attach a completed heart. Hook onto the joining loop of your swivel clip and close the jump ring leaving no gap. Open up another jump ring and attach it to the bottom of the heart joined to the swivel clip. Add another jump ring to the open jump ring. Close the open jump ring. Open the bottom jump ring and attach it to the top of your second heart. Close it.
