Materials
- 30 x flat leather crimps gold plated (LFGP)
- 3 x metres 2.5mm suede rich red (SD2.511)
- 2 x packs of 25 5mm jump rings gold plated (JR5GP)
- 1 x metre light chain gold plated (CHLGP)
- 1 x metre trace chain gold plated (CHTRGP)
- 2 x trigger clasps gold plated (TRGGP)
- 1 x pack of 6 long ballwires gold plated (LBWGP)
- 2 x packs of 12 eyepins gold plated (EPGP)
- 19 x 15mm matt wood beads crimson (WDB11)
- 1 x project sheet (GMC1108P)
- 1 x Craft multi pliers (CRMT)
Stage 1
Cut the suede into thirty 10cm lengths. Set 10 aside for the earrings. Fold each side of a flat leather crimp in slightly, place the end of one of the lengths of suede in and with the flat part of the multi pliers squeeze flat. Repeat for 19 more. Trim the ends at an angle with a sharp pair of scissors.Stage 2
Cut a length of light chain with 20 links. Open a 5mm jump ring and join one length of suede to the end link. Repeat along the length of chain. Make sure your crimps all face the same way for a neat finish.Stage 3
Open the loop on an eyepin, attach to the end link of the fringed chain and close the loop. Thread on a wooden bead, trim 1cm above the bead. Bend into a loop, attach the loop of the next eyepin. Close the loop. Continue in this way until you have added 6 wooden beads to one side of the fringing.Stage 4
Attach a 7cm length of chain to the last beaded eyepin, and add a jump ring with trigger clasp to the end of the chain.Stage 5
Cut two 19cm lengths of light chain and one 19cm length of trace chain. Join the three ends together with a 5mm jump ring and add another jump ring.Stage 6
Twist the chains loosely around each other. Open the loop of an eyepin and attach the ends of the chain, close the loop. Thread on a wooden bead trim 1cm above the bead bend into a loop and attach to the end loop of the fringed chain. Close the loop.Stage 7
To make the braceletMake a chain of 10 beaded eyepins in the same way as the necklace. Attach a jump ring with a trigger clasp to one end and a chain of three jump rings to the other.
To make the earrings
Cut a length of light chain with 5 links and attach crimps to five lengths of suede. Join each length to a link in the chain with a jump ring. Trim the ends at an angle. Open the loop of an eyepin, attach to the end link of chain, thread on a bead. Trim 1cm above the bead, bend into a loop, attach the long ballwire and close the loop. Repeat to make a pair.
