Stage 1
Measure and cut 15cm of black ribbon. Thread a needle with a manageable length of cotton. Stitch to one end of the ribbon, close to the edge. Slip stitch (with your stitches about 0.5cm long) along the length so that you can gather it up to create a flower shape. Stitch the ends together.Stage 2
Cut a 25cm length of pink ribbon and a 28cm of black. Stitch them in the same way to make flower shapes. Layer the ribbon shapes with the smallest black on top, then the pink and the final black. Stitch neatly together and sew a 12mm pearl in the centre.Stage 3
Cut four lengths of wire from 12cm to 16cm. Take one length, thread both ends through a crimp, move to the looped end and squeeze with the hole nearest the plier handles to make a ‘v’ shape. Use the other hole on the pliers to make it round. Repeat. Add a crimp 1cm from the end of the wire, thread on a bead followed by a crimp. Squeeze in the same way. Repeat to add a bead to each end.Stage 4
Stitch the beaded loops of plastic coated wire to the back of the flower, with two at 12 o’clock and two at 6 o’clock. Cut a 6cm length of ribbon. Fold both ends into the centre. With the ends on the inside stitch to the back of the flower for a neat finish. Stitch a jump ring to each side of the back of the flower.Stage 5
Cut a 41cm length of chain and a 43cm length. Join two ends with a jump ring. Join the other ends with a jump ring and attach a trigger clasp.Stage 6
Decide where you want the flower to sit on your necklace and attach a jump ring to each of the jump rings that you stitched to the flower. Join the jump rings to the links of the chain.Stage 7
To make the brooch follow steps 1 and 2. Cut a 10cm length of ribbon fold at about a 45° angle and stitch the folded edge neatly to the back of the flower. Stitch on a brooch bar. Cut an inverted ‘V’ into each end of the ribbon to finish.Stage 8
To make the hair slide cut three 12cm lengths of plastic coated wire. Follow step three to add the beads. Stitch to the hairslide. Make a flower in the same way and two using just the small length of black ribbon with a black bead stitched to the centre.Stitch neatly to the hairslide with the black flowers either side of the larger one. Bend the teeth of the comb to a slight curve and pop into your hair.
Stage 9
This is what your finished set should look like.
