As the Brighton Fringe Festival draws to a close there’s still time for a day out surrounded by the arts. Arts and crafts that is, at Brighton Open Market for The Fairy Tale Fair on Sunday May 24th!

The Fairy Tale Fair

As their website invites “fall down the rabbit hole and explore our whimsical fair”, how could you resist? From 11am – 4pm you can wander around over 45 stalls full of locally handmade goods. A real community event, the fair offers the perfect opportunity to meet and support local crafters and vintage sellers. The market’s permanent cafes are a great place to stop for refreshment, or just to compare the goodies you’ve bought!

If previous Fairy Tale Fairs are anything to go by, there’ll be something for all the family. Amongst other things you can expect to find face painting, wood carving, cards, skincare, cakes (that’s where we’ll be of course), clothing, glass art, felt art, nail art and even some art art! Not forgetting our personal favourite, the fantastic jewellery stalls. On top of this there will be entertainment from The Lindy Hoppers.

The market is all undercover and fully accessible for wheelchairs or buggies. It couldn’t be easier to get to, with dozens of bus stops, Brighton Station and London Road car park just a short walk away. Find out for yourself this Sunday at The Open Market, Marshalls Row, London Road, Brighton BN1 4JU – forget about trooping from shop to shop and get all your gifts in one place instead!
