Free Instructions: Sparkly Saturn
A lovely mini project for mini beaders! It may need a bit of team work with an adult. Our sparkly saturn makes a great party necklace, or tie off the ends shorter and for it to be mini bauble tree decorations
Materials Needed: 1m cotton covered elastic ( EL), 1 Shamballa resin bead ( RESC), and 10 pony beads(PLC).
Tools Needed: a sharp pair of scissors (SCIMX).
Instructions
- Thread your resin shamballa bead onto the middle of your elastic (photo 1)
- Thread 4 pony beads onto the left elastic (photo 2)
- Take your left elastic, circle it around and back through your resin bead, from right to left. Pull to keep a slight tension (photo 3)
- Thread 2 pony beads on the left elastic and the right elastic (photo 4)
- Take your left thread, and pass up through through the 2 pony beads on your right elastic (photo 5)
- Take your other elastic and pass it through the two pony beads that are on the left part of the elastic (photo 6)
- Thread 1 pony bead on the right elastic (photo 7)
- Thread this elastic through the 4 pony beads that you threaded in step 2 , from right to left (photo 8)
- Thread 1 pony bead on to one of the elastic ends (photo 9)
- Pass the other elastic through this pony bead in the opposite direction (photo 10)
- Pull your elastic until you have the correct tension, tight enough so that the beads hold their circle shape around the resin bead, but not so tight that the beads bunch up. Tie two over hand knots against the last pony bead you added. Measure out how long you wish your loop to be, tie a knot, and trim your elastic (photo 11)
