Steps to make this project

Step 1

Thread a 4mm bead onto a headpin. Bend the headpin into a loop approximately 1cm above the bead. Hold the loop with the pliers and wrap the remaining headpin tightly around towards the top of the bead. Repeat for all of your 4mm beads, and use eyepins for the 8mm beads.

Step 2

Cut 1.5cm of chain. Add a 4mm jump ring to each end, add a beaded headpin to one of the jump rings and close. Repeat to make another 1.5cm, a 2.5cm, a 3.5cm and a 4cm length of chain with a bead at the end.

Step 3

Make two chains of eleven 4mm jump rings, one with two jump rings and a final one with 16 jump rings. All with a beaded headpin at the end.

Step 4

Open a 5mm jump ring, add six of your lengths and close the jump ring. Open a second 5mm jump ring, add two of your lengths, the first 5mm jump ring, the remaining lengths and attach to the loop of the eyepin on the 8mm bead so that the wrapped part is at the top.

Step 5

Open the loop of a long ballwire and attach to the top of the 8mm bead. Close the loop. Add the two remaining beaded headpins randomly along the lengths of chain with a 4mm jump ring. Repeat to make a pair.
