Free Design : Candy Bracelet

Follow our free step by steps below and make your own Candy Bracelet using crystals, seed beads and multi holed candy beads.  A gorgeous stretchy cuff with a pleasing repeating pattern, easy to wear, no clasps, and so tactile! 

Materials we used to make a 7.5" bracelet

16 x Black Candy beads ( GLPJ0801-30 )

16 x Blue & Black Candy Beads ( GLPJ0806-30 )

24 x 4mm Cobalt Blue Crystal Bicone Beads ( CPB430240-20 )

3g Matte Metallic Gold Seed Beads ( ME1132 )

2m 0.5mm Elasticity - Clear or Black 

Tools Required

A pair of scissors 

Bead Stopper - not essential , but SO handy for this project! ( BESTL-6  )

Beading mat ( BMT )

Instructions:

Legend:

A= 11/0 Seed Beads    

B=4mm bicone crystal 

C= Black Candy Bead

D= Black & Blue Candy Bead

Please Note:  Every time you thread a candy bead, make sure the dome side is facing up, and the holes are horizontal. All beads are threaded from right to left.

1. Cut a 30cm length of elasticity, thread 2A, 1B, 2A, 1C (through the top hole), 2A, 1B, 2A, 1D (through the top hole) (photo 1)

 2. Repeat step 1 five more times, this is row 1 finished

3. Start row 2,  Cut a 30cm length of elasticity, thread 1A,  1D (through the top hole), 1A, pass through the bottom hole of first C in Row 1(photo 2)

4. Pickup 1A, 1 C (through the top hole), 1 A, pass through the bottom hole of the next D from row 1 (photo 3)

5. Continue step 3 & 4 five more times. This is Row 2 finished

6. Start row 3, Cut a 30cm length of elasticity. Pick up 1A, pass through the bottom hole of the first D in Row 2, pick up 1A, 1D (through the top hole) (photo 4)

7. Pick up 1A, pass through the bottom hole of the next C from row 2, pick up 1A, 1C (through the top hole) (photo 5)

8. Repeat steps 6 & 7 five more times. This is row 3 finished

9. To start row 4;  Cut a 30cm length of elasticity, pick up 2A, 1B, 2A, pass through the bottom hole of the first D in row 3. Pick up 2A, 1B, 2A, pass through the bottom hole of the next C in row 3 (photo 6)

10. Repeat steps 9 five more times. This is row 4 finished

11. You have finished all your threading, it should look like Photo 7

12. Tie either end of the top row of elasticity together. While we did this, we secured the loose ends of elasticity with a bead stopper at either end ( photo 8 ). Repeat for the other three rows of elasticity 

13. Once you’re sure your knots are tight and secure, trim the elasticity  (photo 9)
