Beaded Star Earrings

Lovely star earring danglies, perfect for beginners to beadweaving.

Materials Needed:

Size 11/0 seed beads ;

Size 8/0 seed beads,

Glass Rondelles ,

5mm Jump Rings,

Earwires ,

Nymo.

Tools Needed:

Size 10 beading needle

 Flat nosed pliers

 A sharp pair of scissors


Legend

A: Size 8/0 seed beads
B:Glass Rondelle Beads
C: Size 11/0 Seed Beads


Instructions

  1. Take a comfortable length of stretched nymo. Thread 1A, 1B, 1A, 1B, 1A, 1B, 1A, 1B, 1A, 1B

  2. Circle your needle around, and pass back through the 1st A you threaded in step 1 to create a circle, pass through again to strengthen

  3. Pick up 5C, miss the next B, and pass through the next A after that. Tuck your thread so it sits on the outside of the B

  4. Repeat step 3 four more times

  5. Pass through the next 4Cs

  6. Pick up 3C, 1A, 3C and pass through the second C in the next 5C bead row

  7. Pass through the net 3Cs
    Beaded Star Earrings 7
  8. Repeat steps 6&7 four more times. Then pass through the next 3C, on the outside row of Cs

  9. Pick up 3Cs, miss the next A, then pass through the next C

  10. Pass through the next 8Cs
    Beaded Star Earrings 10
  11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 four more times. Pass back around the outside thread path to secure, then sew in your thread to secure.

  12. Using flat nosed pliers, open up a 5mm jump ring, loop the jump ring through one of the tips of your beaded star, add on a earwire, then close your jump ring. Your first earring is finished!

  13. Repeat all the steps again for your second earring
