Free Instructions: Mini beaded Heart

The cutest mini mini make! Learn how to make a tiny seed beads heart. This little heart is very versatile, you could make one heart.... and pop it on a chain as a pendant. You could make two....and put them on a jump ring an an ear wires for a pair of dangly earrings. Or you could make many hearts, and sew them together to make a bracelet or a collar. Or they would be lovely sewn on to a little valentine's card....we could go on and on...but we'll leave you to start bead weaving! We made ours into a pendant (above) and a pair of earrings...scroll down to see! 

TIP: they look super cute if you make them in different shades of pink, and red, and different finishes. 

Materials

5g 8/0 Seed Beads (A)
RED HEART: S826    PINK HEART: M812
5g 11/0 Seed Beads (B)
RED HEART: S1126 PINK HEART: M1112
Beading Thread - nymo or KO thread

Tools

Size 10 Beading Needle ( ND10 )
Sharp pair of Scissors ( SCIMX )

Instructions

Legend: A = size 8/0 seed bead B= Size 11/0 seed bead

Tying in and securing your loose thread

With your working thread, create a loop around an existing thread path, pass through the loop, tighten to secure. Continue to weave along the existing thread path, them trim
  1. Thread your needle with 50cm of stretched beading thread. Leaving a tail pick up 10 A, 1 B and 4 A. Circle round to pass through the 10 A, skip the 11 and pass through the remaining 4 As. Pass through a further 3A. (Picture 1)
2. Pick up 1A and pass through the next 5 A. (Picture 2)
3. Pick up 1B and pass through the next A. (Picture 3)
4. Pick up 1B and pass through the next A.
5. Skip the next B and pass through the next A, make sure the B sits to the inside of the heart . (Picture 4)
6. Repeat step 3
7. Repeat step 3 and pass through the next 3A.
8. Weave in and secure threads.
Earrings
We then made two hearts, and made them into a cute pair of earrings...
