Make a fun tactile bracelet using basic wire work technique. Perfect for a beginner. We chose to use a mixed string of agate, but you can choose any beads of your choice! 

Materials Needed:

48 x  8mm beads - we used a string of agate mix (AGA8FR),

48 x Head pins - we used Black Antique (HPBA)

20cm length of 1mm leather - we used natural (LTN)

1 x Flower S-Clasp (SN3AS)

2 x 7mm Jump rings - we used black antique (JR7BA)

2 x leather crimp (LFBA)

 

Tools Required

one pair of chain nosed pliers (BEECN or PR1CN)

one pair of round nosed pliers (BEERN or PR1RN)

a sharp pair of scissors (SCIMX)

Bead mat (BMT2)

 

Instructions

1. Thread one seed bead, one 8mm bead, one  seed bead onto a head pin, move to the end (photo 1 a) position your round nosed pliers at the top of your head pin, about 7mm from the tip of your pliers (photo 1b). The further away from the tip, the larger your loop will be. 
2. Turn a neat loop, then continue to keep turning, keeping each turn of the headpin close to the previous loop. Stop once you get to your beads (photo 2)
3. Repeat step 1 & 2 another 47 times, using different colours of seed beads, and 8mm beads (photo 3)
4. Cut a length of leather. we found 20cm to be enough. thread all your bead components on (photo 4)
5. Tie an over hand knot at each end of your beads, to keep them snugly next to each other. Position your leather crimp next to the knot, using chain nosed pliers close/fold over one half of the crimp, trapping the leather inside (photo 5a). Fold over the other side of the crimp, and press tightly, so the leather is nice and secure, then trim the leather closely to the crimp  (Photo 5b). Repeat at the other end
6.  Using chain nosed pliers, open up one 7mm jump ring, and attach onto the end loop of the leather crimp. Close the jump ring (photo 6) Repeat for the other end of your bracelet
7. Take your S-Clasp, loop on to one of your jump rings, using chain nosed pliers, gently close the "S" part, so the jump ring does not escape.
