Free Instructions: Superstar
A lovely mini project for mini beaders! It may need a bit of team work with an adult. Our superstar makes a great necklace, or tie off the ends shorter and it can be a tree decoration
Materials Needed: 1.5m cotton covered elastic ( EL13), two different colours of barrel pony beads. 10 of one colours, 15 of another colour ( PLC).
Tools Needed: a sharp pair of scissors (SCIMX).
Instructions
- Thread 5A onto your cotton covered elastic, leaving a 30cm tail (photo 1)
- Circle your elastic around, and thread back through the first A from step 1, creating a circle (photo 2)
- Pick up 1B, and pass through the next A (photo 3)
- Repeat step 3 four more times (photo 4)
- Pass through the next B (photo 5)
- Pick up 1B, 1A, 1B, miss the next A, pass through the next B (photo 6)
- Repeat step 6 four more times (photo 7)
- Pass through the next B and A, on the outside layer of beads (photo 8)
- Flip your beadwork over. You will now be working with the tail (photo 9)
- Take the tail, and pass through the next 3 As on the inside circle of beads from step 2. Then pass through the next 2B, and 1A on the outside layer of beads (photo 10)
- Tie two overhand knots against the A that the elastic has just passed through (photo 11)
- Trim your elastic to your desired length, and tie two overhand knots at the end to create your loop
